Among its other tasks, the steering committee is involved in:

All financial matters relating to the CRC.

Coordinating the needs of the individual research groups.

Examining membership applications.

The planning and running of all CRC events.

Support for and organisation of all activities related to gender issues.

PR (including the homepage of the CRC and events, e.g. Brain Awareness Week).

Coordinating with the DFG, the administration of the participating institutions, and relevant scientific bodies.
